Good Links for Differential Equations 1. MathWorld This is a great website to learn about almost any topic in mathematics, both elementary and advanced. Bookmark it on your favorites list of your browser.
2. Plotting surfaces using the CAS program Maple This website gives a tutorial for plotting three-dimension surfaces using the program Maple. Maple is on the computers in the math lab in 116 Neville.
3. Another tutorial for plotting surfaces with Maple The computers in Room 116 Neville Hall have Maple on them. Simply click on the Maple icon and open a new page (file/new). Then enter the commands similar to the ones on this webpage. You can print out this page for reference.
4. Online math tools This is a nice java site that lets you perform a variety of mathematical operations online.
5. Calculus software If you have MATLAB or MABLE installed on your computer you can go to this site and get calculus packages.
6. Free software package for mathematics This is a nice package that will do many mathematical operations.
7. Online graphing in 3d This website allows you to graph functions of 2 variables online.
8. Free graphing program I haven't used it but it looks pretty good. It graphs surfaces z = f(x,y) as well as curves in 3D etc.
9: MIT Differential Equations MIT has a differential equations course online; you can check out the lecture notes for the class.
10. MATH TYPE This is a great program for $57 (academic) that will allow you to type professional looking mathematical documents. You can enter any mathematical symbol right into your MS Word documents.
11. Math Equations is a great starting point to many good math links. Good links to differential equations.
