Telling my story to the kindergarten kids While I was visiting Zhejiang Agricultural University in Hangzhou during May 1998, I also visited the campus kindergarten. The photo on the left ended up being published on front page of the May 31, 1998 edition of the 钱江晚报 (Qian2 Jiang1 Wan3 Bao4) newspaper, and in the eastern edition (June 11) and overseas edition (June 15) of 人民日报 (Ren2 Min2 Ri4 Bao4, People's Daily). You can see pictures of the newspapers here. Trying to join the kindergarten parade

While visiting the kindergarten, I met two sweet young twin sisters. (Photo by SUI Lili) With the twin Chinese girls
After my picture was published in the newspaper, the Hangzhou television station got interested, so they sent a couple of people to interview me (at the kindergarten again). (Photo by SUI Lili) With the Hangzhou TV station reporters
LI Min, GONG Hui Jun, me, ZHENG Dong Ying, and XU Xia Fang Here I am in Hangzhou with my friend LI Min (on the left), along with three waitresses who were very kind to me in 1997 and 1998 (XU Xia Fang on the right even loaned me her bicycle for a week). I found that people in China were often very kind to me, especially when I was kind and respectful to them.
SUI Lili and I at Xi Hu ("West Lake") in Hangzhou. It seems she is always smiling. With SUI Lili at Xi Hu (West Lake)
With SUI Lili and LI Min in the kindergarten I am with my good friends LI Min and SUI Lili inside the auditorium of the Zhejiang Agricultural University Kindergarten. SUI Lili is often quite mischievous, maybe you can see it in her smile.
This is me on top of Nan Gao Feng ("Southern High Peak") on the southwest edge of Hangzhou. There were many tea plants growing on the hills there, and we saw a couple of farmers picking the tea leaves when we were climbing the hill. On top of Nan Gao Feng (`Southern High Peak')
