The American Mathematics Competitions (AMC) seek to increase interest in mathematics and to develop problem
solving ability through a series of friendly mathematics contests for junior (grades 8 and below) and senior high school students
(grades 9 through 12). Since 1994, the Department of Mathematics and Statistics of UMaine has
coordinated the activities of the AMC for the state of Maine.Of course the real work is being done by you: the schools, teachers and students
in the state of Maine. This website will hopefully help to support your efforts.
